Meet our Instructors

Deedie Love Davis

Owner/ Director

 

A true native of Savannah, Deedie Love Davis grew up on the Ogeechee river. Deedie started dancing at age 3 and excelled in ballet, tap, acrobatics, and twirling. Deedie started winning National Champions at a young age and traveled all over the country.  At the age of 10, she attended the America Youth on Parade national competition in Notre Dame where she won title. She has trained under several noted instructors  throughout her carrer. She attended the University of Georgia where she was Majorette with the Redcoat Band.

 

Deedie has been teaching in the low country for over 30 years and specializes in acrobatics.  She teaches boys and girls from the age of 2 and up. Recreational/open classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday while Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are reserved for the Dancing Unlimited Competition team who under Deedie's instruction have brought home numerous National Champions.

Katherine Davis, began her dancing career as early as age two under her mothers instruction.  Her natural ability combined with her competitive nature grew into a love and passion for dance.  At age five she won 1st overall National Grand Champion while dancing to “The Little Mermaid”. This proved just to be the beginning of many awards and accolades.  Under the instruction of Deedie Davis at Dancing Unlimited, Katherine excelled in multiple dance disciplines that translated to numerous national titles.

Katherine was accepted into the dance program at the University of South Carolina in 2009.  Receiving instruction by Staci Calvert-soloist NYC Ballet, Kyra Strasberg-principal Boston Ballet, Thaddeus Davis, and many more.  While completing her dance degree at USC she became a member of the Carolina Girls Dance Team as a scholarship athlete.  

She also had the privilege to dance with the Lyric Dance Company in Florence, Italy for an extended period of time under the instruction of artistic director, Alberto Canestro.

Katherine is currently the lead choreographer for the Dancing Unlimited Competition Team. Recently, the team has received "Best Choreography for a Production" as well as "Best Choreography for a Duet," along with several other notable accolades.

Morgan Parker is a lifelong resident of Liberty County. She is an honor graduate of Liberty County High School, where she studied music performance and early childhood education and was the captain of the varsity cheer squad. Morgan began her dance life at age 3 under the instruction of Deedie Davis at Dancing Unlimited, then in Hinesville, GA. Soon after, she became a member of the Dancing Unlimited company and began her competitive dance career. In the ensuing years, Morgan won a variety of accolades in solo, duet, and various group performances across multiple skill levels and on stages in Orlando, New York, and many cities between. Through her travels with Dancing Unlimited, Morgan was able to benefit from classes and workshops taught by elite choreographers in the dance world, such as: Mia Michaels, David Moore, William “Willdabeast” Adams, Nancy O’Meara, and Lane Napper.

Morgan is presently a full time student at Georgia Southern University, and the modern dance teacher at Liberty County High School! She loves being able to share her love of dance with the students at D.U.
